Il Risveglio is located in the heart of the Maremma, here are some suggestions if you plan some excursions or visits.
In addition to the splendid beaches of Argentario, such as Feniglia beach and the characteristic fishing village of Porto Santo Stefano, also on the southern coast of the Maremma, we suggest the beach of Marina di Alberese inside the Maremma Regional Park (Parco dell'Uccellina) and the Capanne beach in Principina Mare, characterised by the presence of numerous huts made from logs transported by the tide.
On the north-east coast we find the beautiful beaches of Roccamare (30 km) and Punta Ala (40 km) and the town of Castiglione della Pescaia, with a characteristic and lively old town centre, a medieval castle, a very atmospheric seafront promenade and a nature reserve famous for bird watching enthusiasts, Diaccia Botrona.
In the Maremma hinterland area, the Terme di Saturnia, free to the public, with its characteristic pools and water that reaches 37 degrees, are certainly worth a visit. Near the thermal baths you will find the characteristic villages of Montemerano and Saturnia.

We are David, Irene and little Melissa and we are happy to welcome you to The Awakening Centre.
In 2017 we opened Il Risveglio with the intention of creating a space totally dedicated to the hospitality of holistic groups and individual stays; a place where teachers and their students could enjoy unspoilt nature, exclusive hospitality, a beautiful view of the Tuscan hills and silence so that they could dedicate themselves to their practices.
During your stay, you will always be able to communicate with us because this is not only our business but also the place where we have decided to spend our lives, and it is for this reason that people who arrive at our facility are not considered as clients but as guests, welcomed with kindness and care.
The structure that will host you dates back to the beginning of the 20th century and enjoys a beautiful potion with a view of the Maremma hills; the main structure is on two floors, on the ground floor there is the communal lounge where there is wifi and where meals are served, characterised by the presence of a rustic fireplace that will keep you company during moments of conviviality and bright and welcoming rooms.
On the first floor there are bedrooms and bathrooms. The furniture in the rooms has been handcrafted by restoring and painting old furniture, giving it a new life. The rooms can be given as doubles or for single use
Write to us for the complete room plan Adjacent to the main building is a small independent cottage that has retained the original structure of the barn from which it was built. Inside it has a loft and a private wifi line while outside it has a comfortable patio.

We welcome teachers and groups looking for a place to hold their retreats, a place for holistic activities only.
THE CENTRE OFFERS:
• A renovated country house where suitable spaces have been created to host groups. We are located in an easily accessible area, surrounded by nature, with 40 hectares of land, with several paths for walking in the nature, a few kilometres from the sea and the thermal baths of Saturnia.
• A professional chef who handles the kitchen of the Centre that offers typical local specialties revisited in a vegan and vegetarian way, with flavors that combine typical Mediterranean cuisine with the scents of the oriental one.
• Seven spacious and bright rooms (each one with a private bathroom) and a small rustic apartment.
• A familiar, well-kept, and welcoming environment.
• A large communal lounge with a fireplace, several outdoor areas, and a pergola where we serve meals with the arrival of spring.
• Areas for the exclusive use of every single hosted group.
• A large and bright equipped yoga room.
To preserve the spirit of the retreat we host one group at a time
Arrival time from 16:00, departure time before 14:30, rooms must be vacated by 10:00 (for other requirements, different agreements can be made).
The proposed timetable for the stay shall be as follows (brunch option available):
08:30 - breakfast
13:00 - lunch
20:00 - dinner
For different needs we can agree.
Meals are vegetarian, prepared with organic and natural products.
